The Optimist Club of Quincy was chartered in 1964 and for more than 60 years has been a "Friend of Youth". Our activities and fundraisers serve to make life better for the youth in our community.

Shown below are just a few examples of our work...
1) Sponsor the Quincy Derby and SuperKids races every June
2) Provide $250 each month for Operation Innovation to support projects in Quincy public & parochial classrooms
3) Grant two $1,500 vocational-technical education scholarships each year
4) Hold an annual junior golf tournament to qualify local youth for national competition
5) Honor "Youth Volunteers of the Year" from several community institutions
6) Honor local law enforcement at our annual "Respect for Law" breakfast
7) Operate the Litter Control Receptacle program to raise money to support youth programs
These are just a few of the many activities we have in our club to support the youth in the area.
